Driver who crashed Cybertruck in Las Vegas spoke of ‘political distress’ and domestic issues before committing suicide

The Bronze Star recipient who blew up his Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas wrote about “political grievances,” armed conflict elsewhere and domestic issues in the days leading up to his suicide, Las Vegas Police Department Chief Dori Koren said at a news conference that the writing was found on the cellphone of Matthew Alan Livelsberger, the truck driver. In his writing, the Cybertruck driver said the incident was not intended as a “terrorist attack” but rather a “warning,” according to police. He wrote in the letters collected by investigators that “Americans are obsessed with spectacle and violence” and that “fireworks and explosives” were the best way to get his point across.
